I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your continued support for my small home business. I appreciate the loyalty, the referrals and your kind words always. It’s my pleasure to pamper you, help you with your skincare questions and needs and improve your skin concerns and issues. It’s a passion and I am lucky to do what I love.
Holiday havoc on your skin
A number of things can irritate your skin and cause breakouts during the Holidays such as irregular sleep patterns, alcohol, touching your face and travel. Here are a few ways to stay on top of great skin.
- Spot treatment– Be sure to use a spot treatment that will dry out the area such as salicylic acid or sulfur. I retail Glymedplus skin lotion ($37) that has resorcinol and sulfur which is the ultimate combo for drying acne and stopping breakouts. Come see me if you need a quick fix.
- Wash wash wash– Always wash your face at night. Even if you don’t wear makeup and especially if you do. One night of not washing your face adds years to your complexion. So even if you are staying with relatives and traveling be sure to stay with your usual skincare routine. If you are on the go, use hypoallergenic face wipes with no alcohol or fragrance.
- Say no to makeup testers-Stay away from makeup counters this Holiday season or at the very least try on different shades of blush, lipstick and eyeshadow on your hands, NOT your face. These testers are a breeding ground for acne causing bacteria amongst other things.
- Get a facial-If you forgot any of these rules, be sure to make an appointment with me for a deep cleansing acne facial ($75). This will help purge impurities built up from lack of good skincare during this busy time of year and get your complexion back on track.
Hope you enjoy yourself these next few days! Happy Thanksgiving.
